Best of Engagements 2015

2015 was a fantastic year, personally as well as professionally.  After years of dabbling in everything from fashion, to babies, to families, to weddings, I discovered my true passion lies in photographing couples in love. This was HUGE for me. I had always struggled with what I truly wanted to do and in 2015 it just clicked- like a light bulb switched on!

In 2015 I was blessed to photograph amazing couples, both engagements and weddings, and was also given the opportunity to second shoot for some pretty kick-butt photographers in the area. The network I have found has been so supportive and I am so thankful for all of them! Creatives uniting in the spirit of community over competition!

I know there will be challenges and triumphs in 2016 and I am looking forward to greeting them both head on.  So cheer’s to 2016 and all it will bring!

Stacy & James// Engaged // Appleland Orchard

Another special engagement session because James happens to be my other brother-in-law.  He and Stacy got engaged in September and are planning their wedding for October of 2016 and I’m so excited to not only be in the wedding, but photograph it as well!   I loved that Stacy wanted her engagement photos at an apple orchard as she shares my love of all things autumn! Pumpkins, apples, sparkly rings- you really can’t go wrong!  We had the area all to ourselves, which is hard to come by on Columbus day weekend!  Check out their sweet session below.

Congratulations Stacy and Jimmy!!!  I can’t wait for the wedding!

Providence Family Session

Family sessions aren’t typically something I do, but I had the opportunity to do some photos for a fellow wedding photographer, Kim.  We’ve been in touch online, but had never met in person before and it was so wonderful to finally meet her.  She’s so sweet and her family is fantastic!  With 4 boys, things certainly stay interesting and entertaining!  They were so much fun to watch as they ran around having acorn fights, etc. Too silly!

They chose Waterplace Park as their location and it was perfect- such a fantastic spot for a city session!
